Thanks to SAP Business One, small businesses can have an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and have access to the same advantages as larger companies.

People are doing a lot of business away from the office - the SAP ERP solution for small business can enable that. One factor that facilitates working away from the office are the apps SAP Business One has for both the iPhone and Android devices.
The iPhone app lets end users stay informed about their business by viewing reports, managing contacts, and handling service call activities. All information is synched with SAP Business One and the on-device calendar. Users can also create, edit or view sales opportunities.
A mobile app means more than being able to use the ERP on the go - It also means that the company is now keeping its own data in a vendor's off-site center.
While security is an obvious concern for any data that is in the cloud, selling the concept to management can be part of bringing software to the business.
According to a recent survey, one reason companies have trouble shifting to the cloud is because of the existing legacy applications. The reason for this resistance is difficulty integrating them with those in the cloud.
Still, there are many businesses shifting to cloud-based or on-demand ERP systems as these installations are growing faster than those done at the end user's site.
SAP further demonstrated its commitment to the cloud when it acquired travel management software company Concur Technolgies recently. The deal gives SAP over 50 million cloud users.
