They manufacture and retail a range of air technology products and specialise in two main product lines; suction systems and oil free compressors. Challenges • Cattani previously did not have an accounting system to run their General Ledger – all the financial reports were prepared by external accountants. • Stock was difficult to manage, there was inventory variances between the Carousel that holds a large percentage of Cattani’s stock and their accounting System. • The companies existing system was inflexible and not user friendly. Solution • Sage Accpac Full Suite including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Inventory Control, Order Entry, Purchase Order. To manage stock Cattani employed Insight Reporting and a MicroChannel customisation that was developed to integrate stock to the Carousel. Accpac Alerts and CRM were also utilised by Cattani to track changes and maintain customer relationships. Achievements • The MicroChannel customisation to integrate Sage Accpac to the Carousel eliminated double entry of transactions. • Insight Reporting allows detailed General Ledger reporting as well as stock reporting, such as customer rebate reports and re-order reports. Stock variances can now be easily identified for all stock items. • Processing and reporting can be completed in house at any stage it is required by the users. • Manual processes that were doubled up such as banking details can now be managed in Sage Accpac ERP. |
