SAP Business One Case Study - Chroma
“We implemented SAP Business One with another organisation, since MicroChannel has taken over we’ve gotten over the line with streamlined processes and having SAP Business One work for us.”
Financial Controller, Chroma Australia.
Chroma Chroma makes artists’ oil paints and mediums, artists’ acrylic paints and mediums, artists’ hyper gouache, educational acrylic paints, art students’ acrylic paints and paints and mediums for decorative art.
Challenges • Chroma needed one solution with the ability to integrate inventory, production and accounting. • Chroma wanted a solution that would allow them to easily draw out customised reports. • They required seamless integration with a third party logistics warehouse that uses a different accounting system. • A lack of materials and production planning lead to stock shortages and lost revenue as many of Chroma’s key customers do not accept back orders.
Solution • SAP Business One with the MicroChannel Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) dFusion integration module.
Achievements • The MicroChannel EDI dFusion module allowed integration with a third party logistics warehouse and eliminated the need for double entry of data, reducing manual error. • The Material Requirements Planning (MRP) function in SAP Business One greatly reduced stock shortages and lost revenue. • SAP Business One allows Chroma to easily generate highly customised reports, improving visibility and easy retrieval of real time data.
