On the 1st of December 2020, Microsoft is rolling out the mandatory update of the Unified Interface across your Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CRM) platform.
Please note that the Unified Interface is available now and Microsoft is currently scheduling customers for the upgrade (you have the option of switching over to the new interface at a preferred date in advance).
Benefits of the Unified Interface
The Unified Interface offers modern, responsive design for improved user experience on mobile devices, such as tablets and phones.
What does this mean for your Business?
In October, all CRM customers will be upgraded to the new interface regardless of whether they scheduled in advance.
Why you should start planning now?
Starting the transition process early enables any changes, testing and training to be carried out before the update. We recommend that any customisations are assessed and fixed before the update occurs.
To give your business sufficient time to complete the assessment, it is advised to commence this process as soon as possible.
If your CRM has a complex and or customised configuration, now is the time to prepare for the move!
How to Transition to the New Interface
- Access the Unified Interface scheduling portal to view the environments that are scheduled to be moved to the Unified Interface
- Choose your scheduled date between now and 1st December 2020
- Turn on the update in the test environment and run a test to identify any problems that arise. We can then support any fixes required as requested, or
- Let us assess your CRM and we’ll quote you for any remediation work required. This option will include a free Technical System Assessment
